  Technically, no — two quarters of contraction is the textbook line and we haven't had them. But the textbook was written for an economy where wages, rent and credit moved together. They don't anymore. If you're asking whether households feel a recession, the answer is plainly yes, and the participation number is the tell.

  Closer than the press coverage suggests and further than the demos imply. The capability curve is real, but the reliability curve is the one that decides whether any of this ships. We are optimising for the second one, which looks slower from the outside and is the only honest way to build it.

  Physically? Yes. Every pathway in the synthesis report still closes if emissions fall the way the models assume. Politically is the harder question, and it is the one that actually determines the outcome. The science stopped being the bottleneck around 2015.

  Why did you cut the third act of 'The Last Reel'?
